WPC Worlds Results 2014
Wow. All I can say is what a week.
Well, it started last Sunday with my weight cut, it was about a 5% cut, which is pretty simple and considering I had a 9 hour drive to West Palm beach from Auburn, it was even simpler. I weighed in Monday for the Raw full power junior competition at 82.2 kg.
Day 1: Raw full power Jr- 1 Gold medal and 1 Best lifter
squat 165kg/369lbs bench 95kg/210lbs deadlift 220kg/485lbs
Then I ate what I wanted the entire next day while sticking around and watching the meet and helping fellow lifters the next couple days
Wednesday–> light workout: squats with bar, sumo deadlift w/120kg, abs, push ups, stretching.
Thursday–> 2o min treadmill run on 7 mph; stretching, abs, mobility (minimal eating)
Friday–> protein shake in am then fast; no activity
I weighed in again on Saturday morning for that days competition (at 7am) and then again at 9am for Sundays competition
Day 2: Deadlift only raw Jr&O – 2 gold medals
weighed in at 81.8 kg for deadlift only then went and did my warm ups
then at 9am I weighed in again at 81.6kg (for Sunday)
then I took the platform and deadlifted the World Record which was 468lbs and then went right for 227.5kg/501lbs and just nearly missed it on a second attempt !
Day 3: Full power equipped Open- 1 gold medal, 1 best lifter
Squat 282.5kg/622lbs (#9 All Time List) Bench 150kg/330lbs Deadlift 227.5kg/501lbs Total- 1437lb/653kg
All PRs on this last day!!
Thank you so much to Ano and Minna! They have taken such good care of me since I joined their team, giving me everything I need and custom making all my equipment so it fits me correctly and I can utilize it to get the most benefits from my training, and as you can see, that has worked wonders. I don’t know where I would be without them but I can surely tell you, I don’t think it would be on the Top 10 All Time 😀
Congratulations!
thank you Ano! And thanks for everything you’ve done for me and successfully organizing such a great event!
